Appeal Summary
We have a 4yr old child Vaishali admitted in Government children's hospital, ICH, Egmore who is need of financial support for the treatment of her illness. Father is a daily wager and cannot afford the treatment. Child has been diagnosed to have a neurological problem - Guillian Barre Syndrome which is treatable by a life saving drug IVIG(Intra venous Immunoglobulin). Though the treatment is free in Government hospital, IVIG is not available. The only treatment for this is illness IVIG to save the life of the child and if the treatment is not given the child will develop progressive paralysis and die. Once the treatment is started the prognosis will be good. The child needs a total of 25gms of IVIG (5gms of IVIG costs Rs.8,200) given for 5 days. EKAM Foundation brought 25 grams IVIG form outside Pharma agencies, through that we could saved the child’s life. Now she is growing in her healthy way.

How come the hospital authorization letter is in Ekam letter head?

Child is admitted in a Government hospital and hence hospital or the doctors will not give authorization letter. Since the the child was referred to us and since we understand the clinical condition we have given the authorization letter . We will also get the second opinion soon.

Would it be possible to get it attested by the Govt Hospital?

There seems to be some discrepancy with the office address and home address. Please verify.

Sorry for the wrong entry of the address. Thanks for the observation.I have corrected it.

Do upload the hospital authorization letter which states that it would actually cost around Rs.41000
