The baby was admitted for the skin problem EPIDERMOLYSIS BULLOSA with sepsis that is infection in the blood.Baby expired today morning that is on 24-06-10 due to severe infection in the blood inspite of all the efforts by the doctors.
Appeal Summary
Baby of Thangamani was born on 26-04-10.He was admitted on 29.4.10 with term/AGA/Epidermolysis Bullosa with Sepsis.Baby was treated with IV fluids, IV antibiotics and Total Parenteral Nutrition. Baby had severe sepsis with poor weight gain requiring IV fluids and IV antibiotics. For the above therapy it has cost the family Rs.79,500 and so far around 21000 has been collected, Mrs.Thangamani's husband Velmurugan is an agricultural labourer with a monthly income of Rs 3000 per month. Unfortunately baby could not survive inspite of all the efforts by the doctors.parents have also been referred to WWS for financial support through the advertisement.

Treatment
The baby treated with IV fluids,IV antibiotics and TPN.He required continuation of antibiotics and IV fluids. Unfortunately baby succumbed to severe infection and inspite of all efforts by the doctors baby could not survive.
